2008 was a great year for Democrats in Virginia! On Monday, December 15, 2008, your 13 Democratic Electors cast their votes for Barack Obama and Joe Biden—ending a 44-year Democratic electoral-drought in the Commonwealth.

In 2012, a majority of Virginians again cast their votes for the electors of Barack Obama and Joe Biden. On December 17, 2012, our 13 Democratic Electors will meet again to cast Virginia's votes for President and Vice-President. More information is available at the Democratic Party of Virginia website.
